California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) Notice

This notice supplements the information contained in the Soft Clerk Privacy Policy and applies solely to visitors, clients, and prospective clients who reside in the State of California (“consumers” or “you”).

We adopt this notice to comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (CPRA).

In the preceding 12 months, we may have collected the following categories of personal information:

  • Identifiers: Real name, email address, company name, IP address, and inquiry messages.
  • Commercial Information: Records of project proposals, scoping documents, milestone agreements, and service inquiries.
  • Internet or Network Activity: Browsing interactions on our website, service page views, and referrer URLs.

Non-Sale of Personal Information

Soft Clerk does not sell or share personal information for monetary or other valuable consideration.

We will never sell client inquiry details, project concepts, or contact lists to data brokers or third-party advertisers.

Your Rights Under the CCPA/CPRA

As a California resident, you possess the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Right to Know: You may request disclosure of the specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you over the past 12 months.
  • Right to Delete: You may request that we delete personal information collected directly from you, subject to certain legal exceptions (e.g., maintaining billing records).
  • Right to Correct: You may request the correction of inaccurate personal information we maintain.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you in pricing, service quality, or responsiveness for exercising any of your CCPA rights.

How to Exercise Your California Rights

To exercise your Right to Know, Delete, or Correct under California law, please submit a verifiable consumer request to us by emailing:

Only you, or a person legally authorized to act on your behalf, may make a verifiable consumer request. We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond substantively within 45 days.
